CATIONIC POLYMER MODIFIED SLOW-DECOMPOSING

T his technical specification refers to physical-chemical and performance of polymer-modified bitumen for road building, used as a binder in the construction and maintenance of asphalt pavements. Produced on the basis of appropriately selected road bitumen and polymer modifier.

I. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND TEST METHODS

II. RULES FOR ACCEPTANCE AND METHOD OF SAMPLING

2.1. Adoption of polymer-modified bitumen for road construction is made of lots under 2.1.. BDS 11035-81.
2.2. Sampling is carried out according to St. CMEA 1248-78.

III. Packing, Marking, Storage and Transportation


Packaging, marking, storage and transportation of polymer-modified bitumen for road construction is made according to BDS 11035-81.

IV. DOCUMENTATION

Each batch of polymer-modified bitumen for road construction should be accompanied by an analysis certificate issued by the manufacturer containing the following information:
  • Name of the manufacturer;
  • Product name;
  • Laboratory testing results;
  • Quantity;
  • Date;
  • Signature of the head of the physical and chemical laboratory;

V. REQUIREMENTS FOR PROTECTION OF LABOUR AND SAFETY

The production and use of polymer-modified bitumen for road construction must comply with all instructions on security and safety, as well as measures for fire protection.
