SALAMBO® BITUMEN COATED HYDROINSULATION
is designed for cold waterproofing, protection and maintenance of soil contacting elements of a building. After drying forms a tight, uniform and seamless coating which retains its properties at temperatures of -30 ° C to + 100 ° C. Can be used for internal and external protection of vertical and horizontal surfaces from underground moisture and groundwater.
Suitable for protection, maintenance and regeneration of old, worn and slightly brittle bitumen roofing membranes that will not or can not be replaced. It is also recommended to achieve a waterproof connection of corrugated bitumen panels and tiles.

Shelf life and storage
Store and transport in tightly closed original container in a dry and cool (best on pallets). Can not be stored at temperatures below -10 ° C and +30 ° C above.

Handling
Substrate Preparation
SALAMBO® BITUMEN COATED HYDROINSULATION is used on all the bases that are strong, load-bearing and do not contain any separating substances (fats, dust, etc.). The surface must be clean, stable and free of cracks. It must first remove any unsound parts and layers with low mechanical resistance.
The substrate may be slightly damp, visible film of water. It should not be soaked with water or constantly wet because of the coating can not dry.
Existing cracks in the substrate must be pre-filled with SALAMBO® BITUMEN PASTE.
Mixing
SALAMBO® BITUMEN COATED HYDROINSULATION is ready for use. Before opening the package shake well. It is not necessary dilution or heating of the product.
Mix well before use! Do not mix with other materials!
Way of working
SALAMBO® BITUMEN COATED HYDROINSULATION is applied by brush, roller or machine layer thickness 2-4 mm. Apply 2 or 3 layers, each layer is applied after complete drying and hardening of the previous one. Be careful not to hurt the previous!
In areas at risk of cracking in the second layer is embedded reinforcing mesh!
The drying time depends on the absorption capacity of the ground, the thickness of layers and environmental conditions. The surface must be completely dry before the subsequent construction activities upon it.
After work, the tools can be cleaned with organic solvents.
Attention!
Waterproofing is done in dry weather at the base and the environment from +5 ºC to +30 ºC and humidity below 60%.
Time to complete drying of the product depends on the porosity of the substrate, the thickness of the waterproofing layer and the atmospheric conditions (temperature and humidity). For full security - should allow time for drying the product of 24 hours.
Keep away from running water and rainfall 24 hours after application!
Do not apply in cold and wet days, and in the rain!
Do not apply on frozen surfaces!
The vapors of the solvent ignite at 38ºC!
Keep away from open flames!
Do not apply the product under direct sunlight!
When working in confined spaces, they must be well ventilated! Wear protective gloves and goggles when applying!
